Better by Choice.

Marine Industry Dealership Certification is a voluntary program.   Therefore, when you choose a Certified Dealership you know you are dealing with a business that is truly committed to YOU and to making sure your boat ownership experience is pleasant and hassle free.

You can be confident that you are dealing with professionals because Marine Industry Certified Dealership employees are essential members of the team:   they're boating experts, ready to help you make the best boat choice for your lifestyle.

You get peace of mind from knowing that service doesn't stop with the sale, because Certified Dealers take pride in doing whatever it takes to make you happy.   If you ever have a problem, your Certified Dealer will work to make it right.   In fact, marine Industry Certified Dealers commit to follow-up with 100% of their customers.

Certified Dealerships adhere to a "Consumer Bill of Rights" which is posted in the store.   This document lets you know what to expect from the dealership.   It is your assurance that every customer is treated fairly and equally.

Earned.   Not Awarded.

Dealerships cannot buy Marine Industry Dealership Certification; they must earn it.   To earn Certification, dealerships must demonstrate their commitment to excellence by meeting benchmarks and standards in key areas that affect dealership quality:

  • Customer Satisfaction
  • Professional sales, service, parts and follow-up processes
  • Employee training, development and satisfaction
  • Technical training
  • Facility and grounds upkeep and competitiveness

Program participants are evaluated in each of the above areas by an independent third-party consultant.   To maintain Certification, they must recommit and be reevaluated every year.
